An SEN school based in Bournemouth are currently seeking Teaching Assistants to start as soon as possible. The school caters for primary and secondary age pupils with special educational needs. 

The school plays a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs. The SEN Teaching Assistant is a dedicated professional who works closely with teachers to create an inclusive learning environment tailored to each pupil's individual requirements. Responsibilities include assisting with lesson delivery, providing one-on-one support, helping to develop social skills, and implementing personalised learning strategies. The SEN Teaching Assistant fosters a nurturing atmosphere, encourages student independence, and collaborates with parents and specialists to track progress and adapt learning approaches, ensuring every child can thrive academically and socially. Their compassion, patience, and commitment are essential in helping students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated learning experiences

What We’re Looking For:

  • Relevant experience or qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support is preferable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
