Accounting Technician/Accountant (Practice)

Salary: £30k - £36k DOE + Great company benefits

Location: Eastbourne

Hours: Mon-Fri 8.45 - 17.30pm

Do you have a background within practice and are AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA and want to work for a well-established practice that offer a great working environment, further study and the opportunity to further your career? If so, I have an exciting position within my clients Accounts Team assisting on client accounting and tax compliance tasks based out of their office in Eastbourne.

You will enjoy working in a busy and professional environment working on a variety of client accounts and have worked within practice previously.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the management of a portfolio of clients to deliver a high-quality service.
  • Preparing and reviewing sole trader accounts, company accounts, personal tax returns and corporation tax returns.
  • VAT advice and compliance services.
  • Maintaining a high level of technical and professional standard, facilitated through ongoing training and CPD programmes.
  • Undertake wider practice activities where needed.
  • Build and maintain a professional relationship with clients and colleagues.
  • Assist in coaching and training junior staff members.
  • Develop skills in I cloud based systems.
  • Assisting in a range of personal and business clients.

The right candidate will have the following skills and experience to apply:

  • Great communication and organisation skills.
  • AAT of ACA/ACCA qualified
  • Experience in the preparation of accounts within an accountancy practice.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and manage your own workload to meet strict deadlines.
  • Great IT skills inclusive or Excel, and using accountancy software, XERO, QuickBooks etc.
  • Great attention to detail and a natural problem solver.
