Audit Semi-Senior Accountant (practice)

Salary: £28k - £30k DOE and full study package + Great benefit package

Location: Eastbourne

Hours: Full Time Mon-Fri 9am - 17.00pm

You will already have a proven background within practice and be part qualified ACA or ACCA, enjoy preparing accounts for a varied portfolio of clients and have a background in carrying out statutory audit work.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing accounts in accordance with FRS 102 (1A) for a varied portfolio of clients including limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
  • Carry out statutory audit work inclusive of stock takes.
  • Taking responsibility for sections of the audit which are allocated to you.
  • Supporting more junior members of the team during audits.
  • Reporting to the management team.
  • Personal tax returns.
  • Using cloud-based systems.
  • Manging your own workload and ensuring you meet deadlines.

The right candidate will have the following skills and experience to apply:

  • Great communication and organisation skills.
  • Proven recent practice background within audit.
  • ACA or ACCA part qualified and looking to take further qualifications (full study support is given inclusive of 46 days study leave).
  • Good IT skills inclusive of using cloud-based accountancy software.
  • Preparation of accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.
  • Analytical with excellent attention to detail.
