An established accountancy firm in Eastbourne is seeking an Audit and Accounts Senior to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for those passionate about delivering high-quality audit and accounting services while expanding their career potential.About the Role:As an Accounts and Audit Senior, you will be a key part of the Accounts and Audit team, handling a blend of client accounting, tax compliance, and auditing tasks. You’ll work closely with managers and partners, receiving direct mentorship and practical guidance to excel in your role.Key Responsibilities:
  • Support managers with accounts preparation, tax, and audit tasks
  • Collaborate with managers and partners, developing approaches to each assignment
  • Participate in in-house technical training to enhance your professional skills
  • Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with both clients and colleagues
Skills and Qualifications:We are looking for a candidate with a strong mix of technical knowledge, independence, and teamwork skills:
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or AAT qualified with relevant experience
  • Proven ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
  • Experience with FRS 105, FRS 102 1a, and FRS 102 accounts
  • Some experience in audit planning or handling sections of audit files
  • Knowledge of current accounting and audit legislation
  • A problem-solving approach and investigative mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good IT skills; additional training is provided as needed
