Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials for science lessons and practical experiments.
- Assist teachers and students during laboratory sessions, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
- Maintain and organise laboratory equipment, chemicals, and supplies, ensuring they are stored safely and securely.
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on laboratory equipment.
- Manage inventory and order new supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and school policies.
- Support the development and implementation of engaging science activities and projects.
- Provide technical support and guidance to students and staff.
Qualifications and Skills
- A degree or relevant qualification in a science-related field.
- Previous experience working in a laboratory or educational setting.
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and technology
