If you’re a Mechanical Engineering graduate, with an enquiring mind, and you enjoy improving things, then this job could be ideal for you.

You’ll be working for a business with a global reach; they manufacture a range of environmentally friendly, precision-engineered, highly reliable, safe and efficient items for use across a range of industry sectors. You don’t need to have any experience with these, as training is provided.

Due to an upcoming promotion, they are looking to take on a graduate for their New Product Development (NPD) team.

The job is a nice mix of theoretical and practical work. You’ll be working very closely with the well established NPD team to test and validate ideas and theories.

You’ll mostly be working in the NPD lab, with lots of development testing of systems and associated technologies. The primary aim of the role is to bring new products, product enhancements and technologies to the market.

There will be work on the design, building, and adaption of testing apparatus. This will include a range of tests. And you’ll get to use your problem-solving skills to come up with solutions.

Then you’ll be using data to presenting your findings in written reports and presentations.

And at times you’ll be assisting with client demonstrations and training events.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You’ll need a Mechanical Engineering related degree.

If you have some knowledge of instrumentation systems (pressure, temperature, flow, etc) then that would be great- but you can learn about them if not.

You will need to have attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

WHAT YOU'LL GET...

  • An above average starting salary (amount will be discussed on the initial call).
  • Flexible start/finish times
  • Bonus scheme after qualifying period/pro rate for first year
  • Healthcare cashback scheme
  • 4% employer 4% employee pension contribution
  • 4x life assurance
  • Cycle to work scheme

WHERE YOU’LL BE DOING IT…

Eastbourne, on the south-coast. Some employees commute from other areas, including Brighton and Hastings. The offices are near to the train station. It’s preferred that you are already in commuting distance, but if you need to relocate then that’s ok- and some support will be given towards removal costs.

WHAT TO DO NEXT…

If you fit the profile then please send your cv asap. We will then speak more about the role and business, and how it may match what you are looking for.
