Project Manager - Eastbourne, East Sussex Summary of RoleAs the primary point of contact between customers and internal stakeholders the Project Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of project orders ensuring schedule adherence, management of risk, documentation approvals and communication with all relevant stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, risk management, documentation approval, and effective stakeholder communication.
  • Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with both internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and addressing issues promptly.
  • Meetings: Conduct regular project meetings (kick-off, weekly, and others as needed) to keep stakeholders informed and on track.
  • Contract Compliance: Ensure that contractual obligations are met as outlined in the quotation and purchase order.
  • Change Management: Organize and facilitate change control meetings to address project modifications.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to project success.
  • Documentation: Obtain necessary approvals for project documentation to maintain progress.
  • Inspections: Coordinate and manage witness inspections.
  • Financial Tracking: Monitor project margins against expectations.
  • Team Leadership: Engage and manage the project team effectively.
Personal Skills & AttributesEssential / Desirable
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and develop solutions.
  • Time Management: Efficiently managing time and prioritising tasks.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Ability or potential to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Ideally come from an engineering or manufacturing sector
  • Must have a project management background 
Skills & AbilitiesEssential / Desirable
  • Degree level in a related field (e.g. Engineering, Business, Chemical)
  • Several years of experience in a similar role.
  • Prince 2 or similar project management certification.
  • 2nd language an advantage but not essential.
