1:1 Teaching Assistant

Position: 1:1 Teaching AssistantLocation: EastbourneHours: Full-Time or Part-TimeContract Type: Supply and Long Term.

Randstad Education is looking for a committed and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with additional needs in a primary school setting. You will work closely with the classroom teacher, providing tailored support to ensure the pupil can fully engage in learning activities and reach their full potential. • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with specific learning needs, including adapting lessons and activities to their level.
• Assist with classroom tasks, ensuring the pupil is engaged and supported throughout the day.
• Help manage behaviour and provide emotional support where needed.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies.
• Keep detailed records of the pupil's progress and communicate with staff and parents regularly.

• Previous experience working with children, especially in a 1:1 or SEN support capacity, is highly desirable.
• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
