About the Role:

Randstad Education is looking for a committed and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with additional needs in a primary school setting. You will work closely with the classroom teacher, providing tailored support to ensure the pupil can fully engage in learning activities and reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with specific learning needs, including adapting lessons and activities to their level.
  • Assist with classroom tasks, ensuring the pupil is engaged and supported throughout the day.
  • Help manage behaviour and provide emotional support where needed.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies.
  • Keep detailed records of the pupil's progress and communicate with staff and parents regularly.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children, especially in a 1:1 or SEN support capacity, is highly desirable.
  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
  • A flexible, positive attitude and a passion for supporting young learners.
