With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality service, the firm fosters a supportive and professional working environment, offering excellent career progression opportunities and a flexible hybrid working model.Job SummaryAs an Accounts and Audit Manager at their Eastbourne office, you will work as part of the Accounts and Audit team assisting on client accounting, tax compliance tasks and auditing tasks. The job role is likely to be 70% audit and 30% accounts work. The candidate must be ACA or ACCA qualified, or AAT qualified with appropriate experience The candidate must have a minimum of 4 years practice experience, including 3 years in an audit role.As an Accounts and Audit Manager your main responsibilities will include:
  • Liaising with partners on client management, practice development, and business strategy.
  • Managing a varied portfolio of clients.
  • Leading engagements ensuring timely and efficient completion.
  • Reviewing accounts preparation and corporate tax computations.
  • Thinking strategically about clients’ needs by understanding their business and key risks and delivering a high-quality audit service.
  • Completing file reviews on a range of audit clients, utilising your existing technical knowledge and experience whilst developing your skills still further and ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Playing a key role in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal firm quality policies.
  • Developing the team and be a role model, whilst supervising and mentoring junior staff, assisting with the structuring of their training. 
As an Accounts and Audit Senior your skills, qualifications and knowledge will include:
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or AAT qualified with appropriate experience.
  • A minimum of three years recent practical audit experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge in UK GAAP, FRS102, LLP SORP and ISA’s.
  • Experience at managing teams including setting workflow and reviewing work of others.
  • Specialisms in Consolidations, Charity audits, CASS 5 and Solicitor Accounts.
  • Rules would be a bonus.
  • Awareness of changes in current accounts and audit legislation.
  • Problem solver with investigative nature, including an acute attention to detail.
