This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Service and Breakdown Heating Engineer to join a growing and dynamic company in the Renewables and Installation Sector. Specializing in air-source and ground-source heat pumps (ASHP & GSHP), the company prides itself on excellent customer service and high industry standards. The role is primarily residential, covering the South East, including Sussex, Kent, Hampshire, and Surrey.

As a Heating Engineer, you will be responsible for service, maintenance, and breakdown response, ensuring heating systems operate efficiently and safely. Your duties will include diagnosing and repairing faults, conducting technical surveys, and managing documentation via a CRM system. Strong customer interaction skills are essential, as you'll be explaining issues and solutions directly to clients. The role also involves training and supervising team members, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and industry regulations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in renewables, particularly GSHP and ASHP, along with a strong background in service and breakdown work. A Unvented G3 qualification is essential, while Gas Level 3 NVQ and heat pump qualifications are preferred.

The Role:

  • Perform service, maintenance, and breakdowns of heat pump systems (ASHP & GSHP) and gas boilers.
  • Diagnose and repair faults, ensuring systems run efficiently and safely.
  • Conduct technical surveys, manage documentation, and update CRM systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Supervise and train team members while managing materials and resources.

The Person:

  • Experienced Heating Engineer with expertise in service and breakdown of heat pumps and boilers.
  • Strong understanding of ASHP & GSHP systems, with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly with clients.
  • Unvented G3 qualification required, with Gas Level 3 NVQ and heat pump qualifications preferred.
