Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Buyer to join our client'sdynamic team in the manufacturing industry. This individual will be integral to their operations, working closely with suppliers to negotiate contracts, procure high-quality materials and components, and ensure a seamless supply chain. As the face of the company to the supplier community, the Buyer will be pivotal in maintaining strong, productive relationships, as well as identifying and building new ones to support our client'sgrowth and market position.


Responsibilities:

- Evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, service, availability, reliability, and selection range.

- Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.

- Develop and utilise strategic procurement techniques.

- Foster and maintain relationships with current suppliers, while continuously sourcing new potential partners to ensure a competitive edge.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and engineering to assess product and supply needs.

- Conduct market research to identify pricing trends and new product availability.

- Manage purchase orders and contracts, ensuring accurate terms and conditions.

- Monitor supplier performance, conducting performance reviews and facilitating feedback to ensure continuous improvement.

- Maintain expert knowledge on industry trends, product innovations, and emerging technologies.

- Collaborate with inventory and warehouse management teams to optimise inventory levels and ensure just-in-time delivery of products.


Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Buyer.

- Strong negotiation and communication skills.

- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.

- Strong analytical skills.

- Knowledge of supply chain management and related software.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
