We are seeking a qualified PE Teacher or Sports Coach available for a long-term supply role starting from the October half term. This position is based in an Alternative Provision (PRU) in Eastbourne, focusing on delivering Physical Education to secondary aged students with challenging behaviour. Class sizes are small, with 5 to 7 students, providing a more focused teaching environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver engaging and educational Physical Education lessons to key stage 3 and key stage 4 students.
- Plan and prepare comprehensive lesson plans that cater to the needs of students with challenging behaviour.
- Manage small class sizes effectively, ensuring each student receives appropriate attention and support.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to help them improve their physical education skills.
- Qualified as a PE Teacher or experienced Sports Coach.
- Strong classroom management skills, particularly with students who have challenging behaviour.
- Proven ability to plan and prepare lessons effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, staff, and parents.
- A commitment to professional development and maintaining high teaching standards.
- Competitive daily rate ranging from £130 to £230, based on qualifications and experience.
