Our client a leading independent firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking an Accounts Semi-Senior to join their team in Chandlers Ford.

The position will involve dealing with all aspects of accounts for a mixed portfolio of clients which are assigned to you.

Key duties will include:-

  • Prepare accounts for a varied portfolio of clients including small Limited Companies, LLPs, Sole Traders, Partnerships and Pensions
  • Prepare and monitor budgets
  • Prepare personal tax returns
  • Prepare VAT returns
  • Prepare corporation tax computations and returns
  • Bookkeeping; write up cash books, sales and purchase day books
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Maintaining client relationships and dealing any queries
  • Keeping up to date with all accounting changes and attending any training courses where necessary
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required

They are ideally looking for someone with UK practice experience of at least 2-3 years, with a good knowledge of accounts. You will also possess excellent communication and organisational skills. Study support will be offered to complete professional exams such as AAT, ACA or ACCA if required.

An understanding of systems such as Excel, Sage and Xero would also be an advantage.
