Your Company:NET Recruit are partnering with an outstanding firm of Chartered Accounts located within the Southampton area, who are looking to hire a motivated and diligent individual as an Audit Senior to join their bustling Audit and Accounts Team. The company in question have seen an uptake in services and as a result are growing the team significantly in line with increased overall demand. They pride themselves on delivering a range of comprehensive business services to their clients and this role will sit in an important function, providing their clients with vital audit services and acting as a key point of knowledge.Your Roles and Responsibilities:
  • The planning, reviewing and finalising of Audits and/or Accounts preparation assignments.
  • Monitoring audit assignment budgets
  • Preparing and finalising financial statements and tax computations
  • Presenting files to the Director, with the agreed time schedules and ensuring they are kept up to date with progress of work
  • Supervising junior audit staff and ensuring they meet objectives and review their work.
  • Maintaining regular communications with both clients and senior colleagues to strengthen working relationships and to ensure the processes are seamless and effective.
  • Taking ownership for own CPD to ensure knowledge of industry developments
What you will need to Apply:The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified accountant (either ACA or ACCA) or will at least be part qualified. You should also have multiple years’ experience with audits within a practice environment and experience with FRS102 is key. Verbal and written communication skills must be of the highest standard as communicating with clients and colleagues is at the heart of this role. The candidate should also be proficient in IT, particularly Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Iris software would be highly advantageous.
