Senior Tax AccountantContract Type: Permanent

Our client is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their dynamic team. This pivotal role will oversee the internal and external tax compliance and reporting functions for a large group of companies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the timely submission of Corporation Tax, VAT, and IPT returns to HMRC, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Calculate and ensure accurate tax disclosures within the year-end financial statements, aligning with accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with Payroll and HR to address employment tax matters.
  • Maintain robust documentation and controls for tax-related matters, complying with Senior Accounting Officer legislation.
  • Prepare the group of Companies for the implementation of the BEPS Pillar II framework.
  • Develop and manage the direct report to this role.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • ACA, ATT, or CTA qualification with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Strong understanding of Corporation Tax, VAT, and IPT.
  • Proven ability to analyse and interpret financial data, identifying inconsistencies effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a knack for building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including HMRC, colleagues, and external parties.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
