Our client, a growing, forward thinking firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking a VAT Compliance Supervisor to join their team in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire.
You will be responsible for overseeing the VAT compliance processes for the organisation, dealing with the preparation, review and submission of VAT returns.
Key duties include:-
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Reviewing VAT calculations, reconciliations, and adjustments prepared by the team.
- Supporting and managing junior members of the team, providing guidance and training.
- Liaising with clients and ensuring planning processes meet their needs and statutory deadlines.
- Reviewing files, ensuring all standards, quality and compliance requirements are met and any issues identified.
- Keeping up to date with the latest regulations and best practices in the field to ensure compliance.
You will ideally hold a professional accounting or finance qualification such as ATT, ACCA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent and have at least 3 years' VAT compliance experience within practice. You will also possess strong UK VAT regulations and legislation.
