U-Educate is seeking a motivated and experienced Sports Specialist Cover Supervisor to join a well-established SEN school in Eastleigh, starting as soon as possible. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring that students continue to learn effectively and that their lessons run smoothly in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
You will primarily focus on delivering and supporting Physical Education (PE) across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This includes supervising PE lessons, helping students with practical activities, and ensuring their safety. You will also be required to assist in the supervision of students in other subject areas, giving you the opportunity to develop a well-rounded skill set and gain valuable experience in different areas of education.

Key Responsibilities:

- Providing Support to Students: Assist students with their individual learning needs and provide guidance when necessary, ensuring that all students feel supported and included in lessons.
- Supervision of Activities: During practical activities, ensure the safety of all students and that instructions are followed correctly.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: You should have previous experience working with students, ideally in a school setting with children aged 11-16 years. Experience in delivering or supporting PE lessons is a significant advantage.
- Passion for Sports: A genuine enthusiasm for physical education and sports is crucial, as it will help inspire and motivate students.
- Behaviour Management Skills: The ability to manage classroom behaviour confidently and effectively is important to ensure a positive learning environment.

- Enhanced DBS Check: You will need an enhanced child-barred list DBS certificate, registered with the online update service, or you should be willing to undergo a new DBS application.
