Internal Communications Consultant

Salary: Circa £55,000 per annum

Our client is driven by a clear vision and strong values. They're looking for a dynamic and proactive Internal Communications Executive to join their team in Eastleigh and play a vital role in bringing their Company story to life for every UK-based employee.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Internal Communications Manager in developing and executing comprehensive communication plans for the UK teams.
  • Writing, editing, and drafting a diverse range of internal communications materials.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of their communication and implementing improvements.
  • Coaching and educating team leaders and project managers on best communication practices.
  • Championing the importance of excellent internal communications across the business.
  • Project managing changes to internal communication processes and activities.
  • Collaborating with HR Business Partners to address functional communication needs.
  • Providing proactive support for functional internal communication initiatives and events.
  • Helping to ensure all employees embody the company values and culture in every customer interaction.

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Ideally, a degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing.
  • Proven experience in producing and managing a variety of written and visual content, with exceptional proofreading skills.
  • Experience in internal communications, employee communications, or change communications.
  • Experience dealing with comms plans for employees going through TUPE (highly desirable).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • The ability to communicate sensitive issues effectively and engagingly.
  • A keen eye for identifying external communication potential in internal stories.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong questioning and active listening abilities.
  • Excellent project management and prioritisation skills to manage multiple tasks.
  • The ability to plan, create, and execute communication strategies.
  • A proactive, energetic, and passionate approach with a focus on building strong relationships.
