We have an exciting opportunity for a Refurbishment Operative for one of our clients in the Managed Print Services sector.As their business grows, they are looking for a skilled individual to join their team at their refurbishment centre. If you have a strong technical background and want to play a key role in extending the lifespan of technology while making a real impact on the environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.Key Responsibilities for the Refurbishment Operative:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in Multi-Functional Devices (MFDs).
  • Perform repairs on both mechanical and electronic components.
  • Replace defective parts with new or refurbished components.
  • Conduct thorough testing to ensure proper functionality post-repair.
  • Clean and refurbish MFDs to a high standard.
  • Rebuild and reassemble MFD units, ensuring all components are in optimal working condition.
  • Perform final quality checks on all refurbished MFDs.
  • Ensure that refurbished units meet both company standards and customer expectations.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and tools effectively.
  • Order parts as required to maintain stock levels.
  • Document all work completed on MFDs, including repairs, refurbishments, and parts used.

Key skills for the Refurbishment Operative:

  • Proven experience in the repair and refurbishment of MFDs (printers, copiers, scanners, etc.) or similar technology.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with the ability to fix mechanical and electronic components.
  • An eye for detail, especially when it comes to quality control and refurbishing units.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with excellent time-management skills.
