We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our vibrant team at an Alternative Provision in Eastleigh. You will teach small groups of students who may have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs and present behavioural challenges.







The Role

As a Science Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to small groups of students.
  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued and respected.
  • Foster a love of learning in Science, tailoring the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of each learner.
  • Support students in developing key life skills and managing their behaviours positively.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including support staff, therapists, and external agencies.
  • Monitor and assess progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting outcomes effectively.


What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications.
  • Experience or interest in working with students with SEMH needs and/or behavioural challenges.
  • A passion for Science and a creative approach to teaching.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with young people.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a genuine commitment to supporting students' holistic development.
