TeacherActive are currently looking to recruit a Design Technology Teacher to join a vibrant and dynamic secondary school in Southampton. We are looking for a Design Technology Teacher who can inspire and engage students in the study of Design Technology, preparing them for future learning and careers in this exciting field. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, promoting practical skills development, and ensuring students understand the importance of creativity, problem-solving, and design principles.

The successful Design Technology Teacher will have:

  • Experience teaching Design Technology to students at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • A passion for inspiring and motivating students to achieve their best.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Design Technology and a willingness to engage students in practical, hands-on learning.
  • QTS and a minimum of 6 months’ experience (ECTs are welcome).
  • Excellent classroom management and the ability to create an engaging, productive learning environment.
  • A proactive, dynamic, and forward-thinking approach to teaching.
