Transport Planner
TLP are currently recruiting on behalf of an industry leading logistics provided for aTransport PlannerwithPallet Network experiencebased out ofEastleigh.
The main purpose of this role will be to work alongside the Transport Manager & Assistant Transport Manager/Supervisor and you will be responsible for effectively and efficiently plan the fleet of vehicles, ensuring their maximum utilisation, and customer expectations are achieved.

What you'll do:
- Produce a daily Transport Plan in line with customer orders and expectations, negotiating best times where possible to best utilise the fleet using geographical knowledge and traffic management systems
- Utilise vehicles to plan all vehicles with a view to support and maximise daily revenue targets.
- Liaise with customers in a professional manner and to ensure customer requirements are achieved.
- Resource subcontractors ensuring full induction / company standards are communicated and formally agreed, when efficient to use.
- Attend daily planning review meetings to approve next day and night plan
- Ensure plans are at best cost solutions
- Update systems accurately and utilise functionality.
- You will produce clear and concise written reports using relevant data & information
Requirements
- Local road haulage knowledge advantageous
- Must have experience within pallets and pallet network
- You must have a full understanding of Tachograph, working time and driver hours legislation
