Are you an experienced bookkeeper with a background in legal accounts? Our client, a long-standing legal firm, is seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join their team and contribute to their continued success. This role offers the flexibility of working 1-2 days in the office, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life effectively.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Maintain accurate accounting records and manage the purchase ledger.
- Handle payroll and holiday administration, ensuring compliance with PAYE, NI, and VAT regulations.
- Oversee workplace pension administration.
- Manage Legal Aid Agency claims and debt collection processes.
- Ensure the firm’s financial operations are efficient and compliant with Solicitors Accounts Rules.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably within a legal firm.
- Strong knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with clients, suppliers, regulators, and fee earners.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems relevant to bookkeeping.
