Job description:

  • The team is committed to supporting children and young people (0-25) with disabilities, guiding them toward brighter futures. Their approach is centered on empowering families and carers, enhancing the lives of these individuals through personalised care and support. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you'll be committed to delivering consistently high-quality services and driving positive outcomes for individuals.
  • You will assess and support children, young people (0-25) and families in variety of settings including their home, schools, and communities. Your assessment will be outcome focused, recommending and implementing intervention that are least restrictive to reduce the impact of disability and promote independence.
  • An essential aspect of the role of the Senior Occupational Therapist in the team is to work preventatively in providing advice and strategies to parents and children in terms of safety within the home environment and the community. This can often involve supporting families open to Families First.
