Position Overview: As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will be a critical partner in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making across the business. Your role will involve in-depth analysis of financial data, forecasting, and modelling to understand the impact on key metrics such as net profit, cash flow, and the balance sheet.  You will also play a vital role in exploring new products and markets, assessing their potential profitability, and advising on customer acquisition and retention strategies.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role that requires an individual with strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to communicate complex financial insights clearly to senior stakeholders, including the board of directors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis, including forecasting, modelling, and scenario planning, to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Analyse the impact of business decisions on key financial metrics such as net profit, cash flow, and the balance sheet.
  • Evaluate the financial performance of the customer base, including cost per acquisition, customer retention rates, and lifetime value.
  • Provide insights on profitability and ROI for new product launches and market expansions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, financial planning, and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and present comprehensive financial reports and strategic recommendations to the board and senior management.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor performance, and market conditions to inform strategic opportunities and risks.
  • Support the finance team with monthly and quarterly reporting processes.
  • Act as a financial advisor to the leadership team, providing strategic insights that drive growth and profitability.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance or analytical role, ideally within an e-commerce or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial statements and key performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to present complex financial data and insights clearly and effectively to senior leadership and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Commercially savvy with a strategic mindset and the ability to drive business decisions through data-driven insights.
  • Proficiency with financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills; experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation.
