Position: Process Commissioning Operator
Location: Kent
Rate Guide: 400.00 - 450.00 Per Day (Outside IR35)
Duration: 12 months+
Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominately in the water industry who have been awarded a programme of work to deliver non-infrastructure water and wastewater projects for Southern Water.
They are looking to recruit a Process Commissioning Operator/Engineer for a key water project near Oswestry on a contract for 12 months+. Responsibilities of the role will include:
- Responsibility for process monitoring of the plant
- Daily monitoring of the process operating parameters (MLSS, SSVI, final effluent analyses, sludge thickener performance, sludge, chemicals)
- Daily monitoring of equipment (oxidation ditch (inducers, blowers, instruments, ferric, caustic, sludge thickeners, etc)
- Monitoring of analysers, recalibration of instruments, ordering of reagents
- Adjustment of process parameters to maintain performance
- Regular meetings with Southern Water regarding progress, performance, etc.
- Assisting the site team with shutdowns, access, etc.
- Assist in development of initial Commissioning Programme
- Attend Progress & Commissioning Meetings
- Compile commissioning documentation and deliverables
- Provide input into Commissioning Strategy Reviews and Documentation
- Liaise with sub-contractors regards commissioning deliverables and interfaces
- Assist Training Coordinators in compilation of training deliverables and engage in SW Training sessions.
- Assist O&M Coordinators in compilation and review of O&M Manuals
- Distribute Commissioning Log / Daily Diary's and any other information from Engineers
- Assist in the preparation of take over reports
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Knowledge of water/wastewater processes
- Process or Chemical Engineering Qualifications
- Maintenance or operating background and experience of fixed and mobile plant would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of relevant treatment processes would be advantageous
