Warehouse/Despatch Assistant - 4 day week!

Grow your career with this leading manufacturing company who are seeking a team spirited despatch/warehouse and workshop assistant to join their busy team, playing a key role in handling the products that go through the despatch process efficiently and accurately. This is a multi disciplined role where you will trained in all areas including Warehouse and Despatch., Quality Assurance and Production. This position is offered on a 4 day week Monday - Thursday 7.30 am - 4.30 pm.

This position is ideal for either an individual with work experience looking to progress or a trainee seeking full training into a career in despatch/warehouse.

You will be working in the Warehouse/Workshop area and some of your duties may include -

• Unpacking orders, receipting goods
• Responsible for picking and packing orders for shipment to customers
• Utilising hand held scanners for stock checks and stock control
• General Warehouse duties such as moving of items in warehouse or from deliveries being unloaded, some lifting and use of trolleys for unloading goods required.
• Some simple assembly work in workshop
• Quality Assurance
• Use of IT to process despatches
• This role is highly suited to a committed worker who pays attention to detail at all times, who has some computer skills to use despatch scanners and print invoices, is flexible, proactive and reactive to the changing needs of the business and enjoys being part of a busy, friendly team.
• Hours Monday - Thursday 7:30am- 4:30pm or 9.00am

Some work experience helpful particularly in Warehouse/workshop or despatch being an advantage but not essential as full training can be offered, IT skills, enthusiasm to learn, real team spirit, a high level of commitment to work and attention to detail essential.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: £23,000 upto c£28,000.00 per year negotiable depending on level of experience.
