Rapid Recruitment is thrilled to partner with our client, a reputable and well-established firm of chartered accountants based in London. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to manage a diverse portfolio of clients and provide a wide range of accounting and taxation services.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing a portfolio of clients, including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships, spanning various industries and turnover sizes.
  • Preparing year-end financial statements in compliance with FRS102-1A and FRS105 using PTP/IRIS accounting software.
  • Calculating and filing corporation tax (CT600) returns with HMRC.
  • Preparing personal tax (SA100) returns for self-employed individuals and high-net-worth clients.
  • Producing and submitting quarterly VAT returns to HMRC.
  • Reviewing and supporting the work of other team members to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Leveraging cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage50 to meet client requirements.

Person Requirements:

  • ACCA qualified or at a late stage of qualification, with a minimum of 4+ years of experience in a UK-based practice as a senior accountant.
  • Demonstrated expertise in preparing year-end accounts and handling corporate and personal tax matters.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, including PTP/IRIS, Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage50.
  • Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and review the work of a team.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage with both internal staff and clients.
  • A proactive, professional, and client-focused approach to service delivery.
