Crowe Watson Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for an Accounts Semi Senior on behalf of a highly respected Top 10 firm of Chartered Accountants in Edinburgh. As an Accounts Semi Senior, you will play a key role within the Accounts and Business Services team, working with a varied portfolio of clients including SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and larger corporate entities. You will be involved in the preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts, VAT returns, and bookkeeping, while gaining exposure to complex and interesting work. This role provides genuine scope for career progression with structured support and ongoing training provided to help you achieve your professional goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of year-end accounts for a range of clients
  • Preparation of management accounts and VAT returns
  • Liaising with clients and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Assisting with training and mentoring junior team members
  • Working closely with Managers and Partners on client projects

Requirements

  • AAT qualified or studying towards ACA/ACCA (or equivalent)
  • Must have previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Competent using accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
