The Edinburgh office currently has a unique and exciting opening to join the Audit service line as a Partner and play a key role in the Central Scotland leadership team. You will work closely with the Audit Partner group across Scotland and will be supported by an experienced and knowledgeable network within the firm.

My client is one of the UK's largest regional accountancy and business advisory firms, providing a comprehensive range of services including audit, tax, accounting, outsourcing, and advisory to SMEs across the UK and Nordics. The firm is now a mid-tier national business with over 3,500 employees across more than 80 offices.

Description

  • Lead on dealing with a wide variety of clients from various sectors, you will be providing advice to owner managers on both business and personal matters and thereby act as a trusted business adviser
  • Drive revenue growth across existing and new service offerings and therefore demonstrate broad business thinking and sound commercial judgement in order to add value
  • Work collaboratively to suggest ideas and concepts for increased marketing opportunities with existing clients and have a full awareness of internal contacts services offered by departments across the firm, maximising cross selling opportunities
  • Day to day you will oversee all aspects of client engagement assuming overall responsibility for allocating work and ensuring client service is maintained at a high level
  • Manage the end to end audit process, including budgets and timescales and will ideally act as RI

Profile

  • Ideally hold RI status
  • Ability to analyse complex business situations to identify key issues and priorities as well as demonstrating an excellent working knowledge of IFRS/UKGAAP
  • ACA/ACCA/CA or equivalent qualified and will possess a senior level experience and the ability to manage a large portfolio of clients, whilst leading a team
  • Confident communicator
  • Ability to make decisions, solve problems and take appropriate action
