Description
- Understand all sources of firm cost and the end-to-end process for expense recognition and measurement costs.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual cost closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Scrutinise financial data to identify potential savings and areas of improvement.
- Develop cost-effective strategies and action plans.
- Collaborate with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Ensure cost reduction without compromising quality or service.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and regulations.
- Implement cost standards for products and services.
- Review purchase orders and invoices.
- Prepare and present cost reports to senior management.
Profile
A successful Cost Controller should have:
- Professional accountancy qualification, Eg, ICAS, ACCA, CIMA, etc
- Proficiency in financial software.
- Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- A thorough understanding of financial regulations and procedures.
- Experience in a similar role in the Financial Services industry.
