Meraki Talent are supporting with the appointment of a permanent Renewables Accountant based in Edinburgh paying £60,000 - £70,000 plus fantastic bonus, pension and benefits.

The Role

The position of Renewables Accountant is a role with fantastic variety, and involvement in high profile & value projects.

It will report to an exceptional Financial Controller with an outstanding track record of performance, and nurturing & mentoring aspiring finance professionals.

The key components of the role include:

  • Business partnering with internal and external senior stakeholders
  • Supervising & mentoring Trainee Accountants
  • Financial accounting & reporting
  • Management accounting & Board reporting
  • Budgeting, forecasting & cashflow analysis
  • Commercial & finance analysis - KPI’s variance analysis, costs, revenue, OPEX, CAPEX
  • Liaising and supporting with Corporate Development Division
  • Reviewing and developing processes, procedures, controls & systems

On Offer

The role of Renewables Accountant is based in Edinburgh with strong flexible and hybrid working, although regular weekly office presence is required so the successful candidate must be based in the central belt of Scotland.

Candidate Profile

We are keen to engage with candidates that meet the below criteria:

  • Qualified Accountant - ESSENTIAL
  • Strong financial accounting & reporting experience
  • Exposure to management accounting, budgeting, & forecasting
  • Renewables and/or infrastructure sector experience advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
