Description

As Financial Accountant (Technical Support), you will be supporting the Senior Financial Accountant in the areas like statutory reporting and compliance obligations. You will liaise with the transactions team, systems team and management reporting team for periodic reporting as well as support transactions processing functions related to payables, receivables, cashbook and inventory management.

You will provide advice and support to the Senior Financial Accountant and Head of Finance. You will provide professional advice to senior managers and Directors on key strategic financial issues including current legislation and external audit compliance.

The role is a hybrid role with an expectation that the role will require to be at several locations approximately 2 - 3 days a week. The primary base will be at Headquarters, situated in Edinburgh, however, there may be a requirement for you to travel to other sites.

Profile

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
  • Excellent skills in financial reporting and taxation.
  • Experience in public sector accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • An analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach.
