Reed Finance are delighted to recruiting for an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accountant to join a leading consultancy business as Financial Controller. This role is based in central Edinburgh and offers both operational and strategic responsibilities within the financial sector of the practice.

Key Duties

  • Responsible for all financial and management reporting, forecasting, strategic planning and analysis, and project costing
  • Develop and execute management strategies to ensure robust financial controls and clear, accurate management reporting
  • Establish strong relationships with Directors
  • Handle the preparation and processing of sales invoices, processing of purchase invoices, and maintenance of sales, purchase, and nominal ledgers
  • Accountable for all financial matters including the preparation of management reports, statutory financial statements, VAT returns, management of cash flow and payroll, and ensuring compliance with all financial regulations
  • Manage relationships with the firm’s accountants, bankers, and other third-party providers.
  • Develop the annual budget and financial forecasts with input from partners and lead the presentation of these to the partners for approval.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement new finance platforms and systems.

Candidate

  • Proven experience in financial administration or control
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
