Interim Finance Business Partner

Robertson Bell are supporting a Public Sector organisation based in Edinburgh to recruit an interim Finance Business Partner on an initial three month contract, with the potential for extension. This is a hybrid role that will require office attendance twice per week.

The interim Finance Business Partner will be responsible for; 

• Partnering with key stakeholders across the business to support them with their finanical management and decision-making. 
• Monitoring spend against budget, updating forecasts and providing guidance on financial planning. 
• Running a smooth month end process including preparation of the management accounts with supporting analysis and commentaries. 
• Preparing and reviewing business cases, particularly for ongoing projects. 

The successful candidate will be; 

• An accomplished finance business partner, ideally with some experience in the Public Sector. 
• A qualified accountant (CCAB or CIMA).
• Confident in using MS Excel to at least an intermediate level, navigating and manipulating large data sets. 
• Effective in building relationships outside of finance and influencing decisions.
