Meraki Talent are engaged on an excellent permanent Lead Accountant role based in Edinburgh with excellent hybrid working paying £50,000, up to 20% bonus + generous pension and holidays & a range of other benefits.

The Role

This pivotal role, is going to be a lynchpin function for the business and finance moving forward. It’s a newly created role where the successful individual will be given excellent autonomy shape/ structure the team whilst also creating & developing processes, procedures, controls & systems to maximise efficiency.

The role will also offer the utmost senior stakeholder engagement and business partnering, providing excellent exposure & visibility.

The key components of the role will include:

  • Business partnering with senior stakeholders including C-Suite, SLT & Departmental Heads
  • Involvement in high profile projects
  • Leading, hiring and developing a small finance team
  • Reviewing and developing processes, procedures, controls & systems
  • Ownership of cash, financial control and reporting
  • Cash management, cashflow analysis & forecasting
  • Banking, banking relationships and covenants

The position of Lead Accountant is based in Edinburgh, with strong hybrid working i.e. 3 days a week in the office and 2 days a week from home. The role will also offer:

Candidate Profile

We are keen to engage with individuals, that meet the below criteria:

  • Ideally, a qualified Accountant although finalist or QBE will be considered
  • Supervisory/people management exposure
  • Can demonstrate a track record in process/continuous improvement
  • Cash & financial control exposure
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
