The Company Able Bridge Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading charitable organisation in the heart of Edinburgh city centre in the recruitment of a part time management accountant.

The organisation have what we can only call a significant history of providing people with a service that is well utilised and highly appreciated amongst it client base.

The vacancy is a newly created role which is designed to support the head of finance in day to day management accounting operations, but also to take a lead in the running of the finance function in their absence.

You will be working with a team who are based partially in the office, partially full time and partially part time. Reporting into the head of finance you will be working with various stakeholders within the organisation.

The ResponsibilitiesThe purpose of this role is to provide high level management accounting information to both the finance team and your c-suit colleagues. The role will be imperative in proving decision support information as well as historical fund spending analysis.

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for:You can expect to be responsible for the analysis of budget and forecast activities.Management of the monthly management reporting pack of a complex, multi revenue stream charity with commentary for various stakeholder groups.Reconciliation of various accounting activities including the general ledger.Overview of the fixed asset register and providing advisory information for senior management.Provide robust information to the charity on accrual and pre-payment provisions.Budget and forecast business partnering support where appropriate.

The RequirementsWe are ideally seeking an individual who has experience of working within a high revenue/highly complex environment. The charity is a multi-revenue stream business with some really complex intricacies which requite an individual to be able to understand an element of flexibility is required with the day to day working environment. Our client is a compassionate and hugely people focused business where empathy and compassion are core fundamental competencies. Ideally a fully qualified accountant however the organisation are open to qualified by experience professionals.
