Senior Accounts Administrator–£28,000- £31,000 after probationary period– Edinburgh

The Role

Do you have a strong accountancy background with experience in cash flow management, accounts preparation, fee preparation, VAT and payroll? Are you confident using Xero and other software? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Due to an impending retirement, we are looking for a Senior Accounts Administrator to support our small but busy taxation and registered auditor practice. You will play a key role in managing the internal finances of the office, preparing fees and handling cashier duties.

This role is Predominantly office based but flexible working options in some cases available. Opportunities for study and CPD are supported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cash flow management including credit control and cashier duties
  • Preparing accounts, VAT returns, and payroll.
  • Handling fee preparation.
  • Assisting with practice management systems.

The Person

  • Have an accountancy background, ideally with several years of experience.
  • Ideally knowledge of Xero accounting software.
  • Knowledge of time and fees software is desirable.
  • A UK resident with fluent English both written and spoken.
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
