I'm currently looking for a Business Analyst for our client in Edinburgh. This is initially a 3.5 year Fixed-term contract, with the view of it going permanent.

  • Salary: £40-47.5k
  • Annual Leave: 40 Days Leave

The role is to provide business analysis skills in business change projects which are designed to help enhance the way the organisations administers and supports processes. These projects have the objective of delivering effective and efficient processes and systems to the key stakeholders. This is achieved by working together with our user community to develop innovative and sustainable business process and system changes.

Other duties/Responsibilities include;

  • Ensure projects deliver measurable benefits to the organisation, focusing on enhancing key processes, systems, data and training.
  • Conduct consultative process reviews, analysis, and redesigns with colleagues across the organisation, preparing the business to embed and benefit from changes.
  • Develop implementation plans, manage handover to business-as-usual operations, and uphold departmental standards, ensuring effective training, communication, and engagement throughout project lifecycles.
  • Develop strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders in different departments
  • Strive to improve the team and department's effectiveness by identifying and implementing continuous improvements and actively contributing to the department's leadership.

Skills/Experience Required;

  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating successful change management programmes, approaches, and implementation strategies through proficient use of business analysis techniques.
  • Strong communication skills which supports the development and implementation of projects and business change.
  • The ability to:
    • React quickly to changing demands
    • Work with minimum supervision accurately and consistently to high standards
    • Work collaboratively and effectively with software developers and business partners
    • Develop positive working relationships.
  • Experience of, and a preference for, working in an Agile project environment - experience of user story writing, user story mapping, story estimating, developing personas, Kanban boards to manage work.
  • An enthusiasm for, and practical experience of, continuous improvement - both in the way you work and to help others improve their processes.
