We have a current opportunity for a Investment Project Manager on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Edinburgh.

The organisation offers hybrid working where you will be based in the office 2 days per week with the rest being at home or on site. You will be required to travel to sites throughout Scotland from time to time (mostly there and back in a day, overnight stays would be minimal), car allowand & mileage will be paid.

You will be expected to deliver and manage from inception to completion all capital investment projects for the organisation.

The main duties of the role would be:

  • Plan and deliver projects within agreed timescales within the financial year.

  • Provide financial reports on the value of projects against budgeted spend and financially manage all projects, raising orders, approving valuations, and invoices, issuing certificates and agreeing final accounts.

  • Undertake development inspection visits in assigned area with detailed assessments for each property to identify project requirements and organise the appropriate works to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and the Planned Maintenance Programme (PMP).

  • Plan and deliver the programme of projects adhering to defined procurement periods, and in line with the target operating model, to ensure all projects are tracked and delivered on time ensuring value for money and adherence to KPIs and SLAs. Liaising with consultants where required on the PMP.

  • Coordinate and manage external consultants where required to ensure that drawings, specification, contract documents, tender documents, pre-construction information is prepared where required.

  • Collaborate with the Central Procurement Team to ensure compliance with Scottish Government legislation in the development of all contract documentation and specifications. Ensure contract needs are met and value for money is obtained.

  • Undertake complex void works and complex repair works where required assessing component condition and advising on rechargeable repairs, in line with the business objectives.

  • Assist with completion of adaptations works as required; liaise with all stakeholders to provide advice, assist with quotations, and check completed works.

Essential requirements for the role are:

  • Relevant professional qualification in construction, surveying, maintenance, and/ or project management
  • Experience in a similar role or QS/Building surveying experience in a commercial setting
  • Project Management & Financial monitoring/reporting
