Job Title: Executry Paralegal

Location: Edinburgh (Office-Based)

Working Pattern: 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday (1 hour lunch)

Salary: Competitive

Reports To: Senior Executry Paralegal

Your Role:

Independently manage executry caseloads, providing expert client support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer testate and intestate executries.
  • Proactively manage caseloads and provide excellent client service.
  • Communicate with executors and third parties.
  • Calculate and apply inheritance tax exemptions and reliefs.
  • Complete HMRC inheritance tax forms and prepare executry accounts.
  • Handle legal rights calculations.
  • Maintain accurate records on the document management system.
  • Adhere to firm policies.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant legal qualification (Law Society of Scotland Accredited Paralegal preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years' executry experience.
  • Strong understanding of inheritance tax and legal rights.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail.
