Job Purpose
  • Supporting a diverse client portfolio, working closely with the Tax Manager
  • Overseeing corporation tax compliance work, ensuring compliance at every step
  • Supporting business development strategies, attending prospective meetings and quoting for services
  • Offering sound technical tax planning and advice to mitigate liabilities
  • Undertaking more complex advisory projects including demergers, refinancing, restructuring and due diligence
  • Ensuring return submissions and tax payment deadlines are met to exceed client expectations
  • Overseeing junior team members, including workflow management, quality control, and providing training
  • Building trusted client relationships, proactively handling queries and problem solving
  • Monitoring the commercial aspects of portfolio management, ensuring deadlines and fee recovery targets are met
  • Keeping up-to-date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing across the team
  • Supporting Senior Managers and Partners with ad-hoc tax projects where required

The Successful Applicant
  • ATT / CTA qualified, part-qualified or studying
  • Qualified by experience within UK practice also considered
  • Expereince in corporate tax matters is desirable, but not essential
  • Technically efficient across taxation
  • Good knowledge of relevant software, including SAGE, Xero and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to manage workload, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met
  • Supervisory experience with good people management skills
  • Self-motivated, reliable and eager to progress within the firm
  • A drive to deliver technical knowledge as a point of call for the team
  • Excellent understanding of current tax legislation
  • Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency
  • Commercial business acumen
