Three Bridges Recruitment is currently partnering with one of its charity sector clients to recruit a Deputy Finance Director, based in Edinburgh, initially for a period of 3 months.

Job

The role of Deputy Finance Director will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:

  • Preparation of consolidated and individual annual statutory and monthly management accounts
  • Providing annual budgets for the companies and charities within the Group
  • Meeting internal and external audit requirements and servicing the Group Audit Committee
  • Contributing to strategic and business planning at Board meetings and with the Senior Management Group
  • Directing and managing the Finance Team with a focus on knowledge exchange and training
  • Assisting in treasury management and investment portfolio administration
  • Managing group banking relationships and compliance with company law obligations
  • Generating efficiencies within the financial and procurement systems
  • Deputising for the Finance Director as required

You

As a Deputy Finance Director you will be skilled &/or qualified in the following:

  • Proven experience in a senior financial role within the charity sector
  • Professional accounting qualification
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and company law obligations
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing teams
  • Ability to work effectively with senior management and external stakeholders
  • Previous involvement in business planning and corporate governance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in treasury management and financial systems optimisation
