Reed Finance are delighted to be supporting one of our long-standing clients, based in Edinburgh City Centre to recruit for a new Finance Business Partner position.

This role involves delivering accurate, robust in-depth analysis and management accounting information to various stakeholders while building strong relationships across the business. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, ensuring best practices and continuous improvement in financial processes.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Prepare detailed financial analysis to support business decisions and process improvements
  • Develop accurate and professional monthly management account reports
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis against budget and forecasts
  • Provide comprehensive financial and accounting reports to budget holders, partners, department heads, and fee earners
  • Support stakeholders in gaining an in-depth understanding of their finances, finance policies, and procedures
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with budget holders, department heads, and partners
  • Lead in financial planning, forecast, and budget processes by providing detailed cost and revenue analysis
  • Ensure consistent adherence to budgetary control measures, accounting processes, and reporting procedures
  • Develop management information tools, reports, and systems to meet and improve reporting requirements
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support the daily cash flow forecast
  • Design and document business processes and accounting policies to streamline finance procedures

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver robust information to deadlines in a professional and user-friendly format
  • Excellent communication, knowledge transfer, and organisational skills
