Job Purpose
  • Manage the delivery of assignments for a varied client portfolio, including resourcing the assignments, setting timescales and determining budgets
  • Oversee the timely delivery of advisory and compliance services
  • Undertake technical research and present findings clearly at clients meetings to offer practical, well-considered solutions
  • Manage junior staff by reviewing work, monitoring their progress and providing valuable guidance
  • Identify opportunities to promote the business within the public practice marketplace
  • Make effective and strategic decisions for the betterment of your team and the overall firm
  • Monitor KPIs on behalf of yourself and the wider team
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to provide a comprehensive service
  • Implement advisory skills across wider accountancy matters within the firm
  • Confidently support business growth through retaining client relationships, scoping leads, delivering speaker sessions, and representing the firm
  • Providing mentorship to junior staff members, adopting a supportive and constructive approach
  • Supporting Partners by undertaking ad-hoc projects as required

The Successful Candidate
  • CA / ATT / CTA qualified, part-qualified or studying
  • Qualifed by experience also considered
  • Proven track record of working in a supervisory role within practice is desirable, but not essential
  • A natural and motivational leader
  • A hands-on, can-do attitude towards problem-solving
  • Experience using Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel and MS Outlook
  • Experience using Alphatax is desirable, but not essential
  • Coaching and mentoring skills to support junior staff
  • Self-motivated, ambitious and keen to progress within the firm
  • Eager to be an integral part of the team and champion business growth
  • Excellent communication skills, able to liaise confidently with clients
  • Good at working under pressure, both autonomously and as part of the team
  • Excellent business acumen
