Idex Consulting have a new opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner to join a IFA Practice in Edinburgh City Centre.Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Ensure completeness of client file/data gathering
  • Confirm risk profile, capacity for loss and knowledge and experience is determined and updated
  • Check all necessary information and paperwork is present

Preparation of recommendations

  • Attend client meetings, if required
  • Identify and obtain information necessary to compile clients' recommendations
  • Assisting Financial Adviser identifying areas for planning
  • Carry out technical calculations
  • Present Cashflow Modelling scenarios to clients
  • Research products to support recommendations
  • Prepare information and comparison for analysis by Financial Adviser
  • Produce financial planning recommendations and suitability reports
  • Review investment portfolio, asset allocation, risk profile, capacity for loss and knowledge and experience
  • Ensure that all FCA, regulatory, industry and compliance standards are met

Knowledge

  • Competent in Microsoft Office package
  • Excellent technical knowledge of all aspects of financial services products and taxation
  • Knowledge of technical financial planning tools
  • Knowledge and experience of holistic financial planning

Experience

  • Experience in a Paraplanner role in an independent environment

Qualifications

  • A minimum of Diploma in Financial Planning, ideally working towards Chartered
