Are you an experienced Agile Team Leader looking for an exciting Public Sector role?

Our Edinburgh based client are currently for an Agile Team Lead to join their team on a part time basis on an initial 6-month contract. The successful applicant will join the team which is responsible for maintaining and improving various products as well as designing and delivering a new product that is in the works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist team in driving continuous improvement
  • Make team activities visible and transparent
  • Focus on optimising flow, limiting WIP and delivering value
  • Tailor processes to fit the needs of the teams, their work and customer value delivery, rather than enforcing a specific framework.
  • Track cycle times using quantitative tools such as Actionable Agile
  • Cultivate and maintain an open, trust driven environment
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, business analysts and other specialists guiding them in agile practices
  • Encourage strong team dynamics and relationships based on autonomy, mastery and purpose
  • Actively contribute to a learning culture within the Agile Community of Practice (and the broader organisation) including leading CoP meetings when needed
  • Work effectively with external suppliers, departments and agencies as necessary
  • Support digital service delivery, adhering to standards where applicable

Key Applicant Requirements

  • Strong expertise in agile concepts, techniques and products (software) development
  • Proven track record of embedding agile practices and driving continuous improvement,
  • Ability to apply the most relevant agile practices, adapting to the context and needs of the team
  • Experience working with agile product teams, including those building browser-based digital services
  • Deep understanding of effective digital service delivery design
  • Familiarity with various industries, with public-sector expertise being a plus
  • Framework-agnostic, choosing the right practices on the situation

This role offers a maximum day rate Outside IR35 of £670. Hybrid working is available and the contract is for 18.5 hours per week.
