- Drafting of secondary legislation concerning council tax and non-domestic rates, involving significant financial implications.
- Serve as the lead solicitor for the Community Wealth Building (Scotland) Bill, supporting Ministers during its Parliamentary journey following its introduction in March 2025.
- Act as the lead solicitor for the reconsideration of the European Charter of Local Self-Government (Incorporation) (Scotland) Bill, a member’s bill endorsed by the Scottish Government.
- Advise Fair Work policy officials on the Scottish elements of the UK Employment Rights Bill.
- Provide ad-hoc legal advice to policy officials in the Local Government, Fair Work and Consumer Advocacy teams on various issues, including legislative competence, statutory interpretation, grant letters, impact assessments, and public law matters.
- Strong legal skills applicable or transferable to public law in Scotland.
