We have partnered with a fantastic hotel venue based in Edinburgh city centre who are seeking a brand new Hotel Receptionist to join their tight-knit and friendly team.

Your rate of pay and hours of work
You can enjoy a salary of 25,000 per annum, along with a supportive work environment and an excellent training programme.

You will work a combination of early and late shifts, 5 days a week. Shifts will normally be in a pattern of late followed by early and due to the nature of this role, you will sleep in the hotel when on a late to save travelling home between shifts and to ensure there are an adequate number of staff members on-site in the event of an emergency.

Responsibilities within your new role
To give you a taste of your new role as Receptionist, your main duties will include:

  • Being the first point of contact and greeting guests with friendliness and enthusiasm

  • Following company procedures to make reservations, as well as checking guests in and out in a timely and efficient manner

  • Advising guests on the local area and activities available to them

  • Acting as Duty Manager in times of their absence

  • Going the extra mile to ensure exceptional guest experiences


Your personality, experience and qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will have a proven history of working within a Hotel Reception role, providing top-tier customer service to ensure guests have quality experiences. You will have the drive to progress in your hospitality career and approach the role with passion and enthusiasm. Delivering outstanding guest care with a can-do attitude will be key in order to thrive in your new position.
