Meraki Talent are delighted to be partnering with our hugely successful financial service client to recruit a Payroll Manager to lead a dynamic team that is going through an exciting period of change.This role will play an important part of a wider strategy and roll out across Payroll, Reward and HR transformation across the UK business. The role is initially on an interim basis of 6 months, but will have strong opportunity to be extended or made permanent. The role reports to Director level and partners closely with key stakeholders to ensure payroll processes and processing deadline meet expectations.Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee Payroll team, ensuring submission of all payrolls, with approval documentation
  • Manage all regular and ancillary payments
  • Monthly payroll reporting and analytics
  • Develop, analyse and monitor Payroll systems and processes, including vendor performance data to support vendor governance
  • Support for escalations on tax queries, advise and guidance
  • Provide leadership, coaching, development and direction to the Payroll Teams
  • Continuous improvement and building strong links between Payroll and HR services - identifying and inputting solutions to reduce manual process and increase accuracy of payroll data
  • Driving change management across Payroll function
  • Project involvement across Payroll and HR integration and transformation

Skills / Experience

  • Extensive payroll knowledge a proven track record in payroll implementation and integrations
  • Experience, skills and knowledge using Payroll systems
  • Previous experience of leading an payroll teams, ideally UK or EMEA
  • Strong analytical and administrative skills, with the ability to handle multiple high priority tasks and problem solve
